Leu Gardens
Leu Gardens is a 50 acre botanical garden very close to the heart of downtown Orlando! Their gardens include a rose garden, a butterfly garden, tropical plants, a boardwalk on the lake, a museum and so much more. Bok Tower Gardens
Still wanting to visit more gardens? Head out west about 45 minutes and arrive at Bok Tower Gardens! With over 200 acres of gardens and hiking trails, you can spend all day stretching your legs and seeing the beauty that Central Florida’s environment has to offer. Dream Catcher Horse Rescue
Dream Catcher Horse Rescue is located in Clermont, Florida and is a non-profit rescue center for horses that require rehabilitation or rehoming. All of the money made returns directly back to care for the horses! They offer trail riding, horseback riding lessons and pony rides for the little ones. The Canyon Zipline and Canopy Tours
Head north towards Gainesville for a thrilling adventure you would least expect from the Florida landscape; zip lining and canopy tours! This is the only true canopy tour you can take in Florida and they have tours viewing gorgeous canyons and lakes. One tour even includes a 1,100 foot long zipline over Lost Spring Lake. The Winter Garden Farmer’s Market is still open for the summer every Saturday from 8am to 1pm. They have a wide range of produce, locally produced goods, plants, and so much more. This is a great place to support local businesses during the current crisis, purchase super fresh produce and enjoy the Florida weather.
