With schools closing, many kids are looking forward to an extended spring break. However, a gap in their learning can be anything but beneficial to their education. Here are some resources kids can use online to keep their education going and have something to do while they’re bored at home!
Scholastic
Scholastic is offering free, online courses for students to continue their education through the school closings. In a letter sent out by Scholastic they stated, ““As more and more teachers, students, and families around the world are affected by the corona virus, our priority is to support them in the best way we know how—by providing them with rich stories and meaningful projects that will keep kids academically active.” They offer coursework from pre-k all the way up to grade 6+!

Khan Academy
Khan Academy is a non-profit organization that offers a vast amount of online resources kids can use to continue their education through the closures. Khan Academy is free to sign up and provides access to lessons, instructional videos, quizzes, and test prep. Their app is available for free on all platforms and provides material for kids of any age.

Fun Brain
Fun Brain is a free website with educational resources for kids in pre-k to 8th grade, specializing in math, reading and games for their study breaks! This is a free access website that can help your children learn in a fun and interesting way, and it’s even the website where the famous books, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, originate from!

Brain POP
Brain POP is an online educational resource that provides fun videos and interactive activities for kids to engage with during their education. Brain POP usually has a costs to access all of their content, however due to the corona virus and school closures, they are offering free memberships during this time until schools reopen. They offer an extensive amount of lessons for any topic you could think of!
